Founding of IDAKA SHOKAI

IDAKA SHOKAI was founded by Katsuhiko Takada and Tozaburo Inoue.
IDAKA SHOUKAI was founded in 1924, a time when Japan was still suffering the after-effects of the Great Kanto Earthquake, which occurred in September of the previous year, but by this time, Japan was beginning to show signs of growth in the automobile, airplane, and textile machinery industries, which would lead to significant growth in the Japanese economy.

The Toyota Sales Office opened.

At the request of TOYOTA MOTOR, the Toyota Sales Office was opened on the 4th floor of the Toyota Branch of MITSUI & CO., LTD. in Dec. 1979 with a team of 8, including the office manager. This led to a deepening of business relations in machinery and equipment between IDAKA and TOYOTA MOTOR.

The Kariya Sales Office (later to be Kariya Branch Office) opened.

Many factories, notably that of Nihon Denso (currently DENSO), were located in the Kariya area, and the Kariya Sales Office was opened with the aim of strengthening service operations with such clients. The dedicated staff worked tirelessly, and their efforts were rewarded when the office was upgraded to Kariya Branch Office.

IDAKA AMERICA, INC., a wholly-owned subsidiary, was established in the U.S.

In response to the company's expanding overseas business, IDAKA forged ahead with its goal of true globalization including business localization, by expanding its overseas offices in various locations all over the world, beginning with the U.S.

Construction of the new Headquarters building was completed.

The new building, which is the current Headquarters, was completed in 2005.
