Social Initiatives

At IDAKA, we are tackling a variety of social issues through health management, initiatives for health and safety, and initiatives for human resource development, work-life balance, and diversity, all while valuing our exchanges with those in the local community.

Health Management

Based on our corporate philosophy of “friendly cooperation”, IDAKA believes that it is vital that all of our employees attain a good work-life balance while being both mentally and physically healthy, and that each and every employee takes on work challenges happily and actively with a cheerful heart at all times. We have provided the environment to achieve this in order to deepen relationships of trust between the company and our employees, mutually contribute to one another, and to build a better future.

Health and Safety

IDAKA	Basic Health and Safety Philosophy

"Basic Health and Safety Philosophy"
Our company would cease to exist without safety. All work begins with safety!

IDAKA is responsible for ensuring that our customers are able to construct their equipment safely. Naturally, construction work is handled by product manufacturers, but we have established our own “Safety and Health Promotion Department”, who are responsible for patrolling the construction area to ensure that rules are being followed, and that there are no hazardous locations. Moreover, we have also formed the “IDAKA Safety and Health Cooperation” to provide education and training together with our construction partner companies to raise safety awareness at our affiliates on a daily basis.

Human Resource Development

Training system

In addition to education on daily work activities, we also provide group training given by external instructors based on hierarchy (new employees, team managers, section chiefs). During the training, all trainees set their own targets, take measures to achieve these targets in their own departments, and repeatedly review these measures so that they result in improved skills and career advancement in the future for employees in their respective positions.

Work-life Balance

Creating an easy-to-work workplace for the child-rearing generation

IDAKA has extended the period that employees can temporarily work part-time for child-rearing, and has established a special leave system to promote the participation of fathers in raising their children. Moreover, we make sure that employees are familiar with our efforts to prevent excessively long work hours, and with our leave system for child-rearing.

Recreational activities

As part of IDAKA’s efforts to create an environment in which it is easy to work, we create opportunities for communication by holding regular internal recreational activities.

Nursing leave and leave systems

IDAKA has established nursing leave and leave systems in order to create an employment environment in which employees can work with peace of mind while both carrying out their work and dealing with nursing care.

Paid vacation system

In order to encourage employees to take annual paid vacation, we have created long vacation periods where all employees take planned annual vacation at the same time, and established a system where employees are given a paid holiday during their birthday month.

Resort facilities

IDAKA has its own employee resort facilities (membership-based accommodation facility, company vacation home) for use by employees and their families as a reward for their services and to promote health.

Promoting Diversity

Providing an easy-to-work workplace environment

IDAKA promotes a barrier-free environment in the workplace, as well as the creation of a workplace environment in which it is easy-to-work for anyone.

Involvement in the Local Community

Town clean-up activities and litter cleanup

IDAKA’s employees take part in regular clean-up activities in the area around our headquarters and each sales office as part of our initiatives to preserve the environment in the local community.

Volunteer Center Donation Activities

We collect used stamps and donate them in order to support the activities of the Aichi Council of Social Welfare Volunteer Center.
